Greatest Holiday Hits

December 21, 2011 Comments (0)

If you still can’t figure out what to get that someone special on your holiday gift list, I’ve put together a list of some of my favorites to get the ball rolling. Happy Holidays!

Low Price Winners
If you’re on a budget but you still want to get great shoe gifts, check out the High Score booties from Unlisted. For only $40 these shoes offer a chic look at a reasonable price.

I’m also a big fan of the Dana boot from Kelly & Katie. These $50 boots look sleek and durable. And let’s face it…I love the name!

Anything from UGG Australia
While some people think that they look sloppy, or like house shoes gone wild, I for one always have and always will love Ugg boots. They’re comfy, cozy, and they’re the epitome of affordable luxury. My personal favorites are the Maylin boot, which is made of sheepskin and features fleece/fur lining, and the Lattice Cardy flat boot.

Dream Shoes

December 20, 2011 Comments (0)

I admit it. I have a dream pair of shoes. It’s a pair that’s so fierce, so fantastic, so expensive that my friends will have to take up a collection in order to buy them for me for Christmas. They are the  Barletta knee-high boots from Elie Tahari, and for the low, low price of abour $600 they can be mine.

But since I’m a realist I have a funny feeling that I will not be rockin’ these boots to a New Year’s Eve party any time soon. But this got me thinking about dream shoes in general. I know my own style, but I also wanted to know which fabulous pair of shoes you’re hoping to find underneath the tree this year? What’s your pair of dream shoes?

Countdown to Christmas, Part IV

December 14, 2011 Comments (0)

Next up on our Countdown to Christmas are a few of my personal favorites for the woman who loves comfort. You know who she is. The woman who’d sooner wear ballet flats or chic flat boots than sky-high stilettos any day of the week…but she always looks fabulous nonetheless.

Basic Ballet
If you’re going to buy the Comfort Girl a pair of ballet flats, make sure that they’re chic and far beyond basic black. Try the Ona from Mossimo in a holiday-appropriate cheery shade of red. The round toe and ruched detail at the heel make these flats anything but ordinary.

Boss Boots
The G Lelah from xhilaration is flat and fabulous! The ruffled details down the side give it an extra pop of femininity, and the dark purple color make it a gift worth giving…and receiving!

Sandal-Sational
While she may not be able to wear a fabulous sandal right away, there’s no better way to remind her that warmer weather is on the way then with a fabulous spring sandal. If you really want to splurge, check out the Metalplated T-strap sandal from Giuseppe Zanotti. It’s leather. It’s luxzurious. It’s Zanotti.

Countdown to Christmas, Part I

December 1, 2011 Comments (0)

It’s December 1, which means that the Countdown to Christmas is on! You’ve only got 24 precious days left to shop, wrap, bake, and ship any and all presents to friends and family this year. And since you’re sure to have more than a few shoe-aholics on your list, I’ve put together part one of a 4-part list that will make gift giving a little easier this year. Today I’ve uncovered the perfect gifts for the ladies in your life who love color!

Green with Envy
We all have a friend and/or family member who loves, loves, loves anything bright, bold, and fabulous. So this year make sure she unwraps the brightest gift of them all. The Evelixa pump from Nina is a satin stunner with a sexy 4-inch heel. Its emerald green hue will make a beautiful contrast to a basic LBD!

Rainy Days
If it’s rainy, cold and gray outside, then there’s no better time to brighten up your look! These bright orange Original rain boots from Hunter will not only keep your feet warm and dry, but they’ll make you very easy to spot in a crowd!

The Bluest Eyes
These cobalt blue Colorblock Booties from Pierre Hardy are truly something to behold. The 4.5-inch stiletto heel may make balancing a bit problematic, but when your shoes are this fabulous, what’s a little vertigo? The $600 price tag definitely makes them a splurge, but the stunning craftsmanship and fierce color also make them a must-have.

Dream Shoes

October 27, 2011 Comments (0)

We all have fabulous style, but we don’t always have the finances to indulge our tastes. So I pose the question to myShoes readers: What’s your dream shoe for the season? Is it a pair of Uggs to keep out the winter chill? Thigh-high Louboutin’s to indulge your funky side?

Let us know what your dream shoe is for fall/winter 2011 and we’ll post the results in a blog next month!

The Rainbow Connection

October 24, 2011 Comments (0)

Just because the weather has turned gloomy doesn’t mean that you must resign yourself to wearing a parade of dull, boring brown or black shoes until the sun decides to come out sometime in May. Brighten up your look, as well as your mood with these fierce, fabulous, colorful winter boots.

Brilliant Green
Boutique 9’s Cathy mid-calf leather boot in a pale, forest green looks bo-ho chic and earthy.

Deep Purple
If you feel like standing out in a crowd, but also keeping your feet warm, you must, must, must check out the Alda thigh-high boot from Shiekh. I barely have words to describe these funky and fabulous 4-inch stunners! Simply click here and behold!

Bright Orange
I’m still not sure how I feel about flat boots, but no matter what stance you have on the issue, you’ll definitely want to check out the Nicolette bright orange flat boots from Michael Kors. They just might be the perfect thing to perk up a black cashmere turtleneck and A-line gray skirt.

True Blue
And since there’s nothing like a blast of cobalt blue to shake you out of the winter blahs, thank goodness Steve Madden conjured up the Princey ankle bootie. The brilliant color in addition to the amazing skinny 4.5-inch heel equals nothing short of fabulous!
