{ a blog all about the love of shoes }
Perhaps you’re not the tallest one in the bunch; perhaps you just think they make your legs look longer, leaner, better; or perhaps you simply like standing head and shoulders over the competition. Whatever your reason, you just love to rock a sky-high heel – and these days, it’s never been easier!
With the proliferation of platforms, rocking a soaring stiletto has never been easier! In some cases, designers opt to conceal the platform with a covered midsole, such as with the Rue B modified loafer by Angel. Another option? Camouflaging the heel so that it blends seamlessly with the rest of the shoe upper, as shown with the tone-on-tone April pump by Dolce Vita.
In addition to adding height, shoe designers are also using the extra real estate to showcase their style. One great example? The eye-popping cutouts in the wedge heel of the Chez Camille shoe by Angel. Other designers, meanwhile, are using the platform – literally – to showcase other artistic embellishments, such as the knack for color-blocking demonstrated with the Ultran by Steve Madden or the use of mixed materials in the Mely wedge by BCBGirls.
However you want to rock this daring look, you’ll have no choice but to walk tall and hold your head up high!
