{ a blog all about the love of shoes }
Everything’s looking beautiful now that March is leaving like a lamb, so we’re upgrading our shoe styles to reflect the warmer, sunnier, and happier times that await. Vintage skirts, slinky dresses, and cute tees are here again! Aren’t you happy? We love a good picnic, and we also love a pair of brand-new shoes that match with everything in our closet. Care to see what’s hot this spring in terms of color?
Neon Green: Do you dare? This is one of those colors that’s a “hot” and a “not” wrapped into one daring ‘n delicious package. Try wearing your bright green shoes with a touch of floral to bring out all the background greenery, or toss on a pair of strappy neon green shoes with denim for a more casual look.
Mauve-Ish Pinks: Pink shades with a little brown mixed in are nice selections for the woman who wants to make her feet look smaller than they actually are. Toss on a pair of pumps or sandals that can make your legs look longer than ever– colors like bubble gum and a heavy-on-the-pink mauve are also welcome.
Light Blue: There are several light blues that are popular right now: one that’s more saturated, and one that’s very light and almost grey. When combined with one of the trendy tints like “Linen” or “Sand,” these colors can be especially effective. A light lilac is a great compromise if you don’t like blue or grey.
Purple and Indigo: Bold hues like purple and indigo really make a difference in the average woman’s wardrobe. Instead of smothering your craving for color, see if you don’t have a rich blue-purple pair of shoes hidden away from seasons past. Indigo, deep purple, and bright blue are all fabulous selections to pair with brighter prints.
Tangerine: A lighter orange tint with a little white mixed in is a very hot color for spring. Look for it in strappy sandal styles, and try pairing it with things like turquoise accessories and short shorts. This is a good color to pair with a deep tan and with a bikini, so consider it for summertime strolling. You may also want to scoop up a pair of peep-toe flats in this lovely color.
Out of all these colors, which one sounds best for you?
