{ a blog all about the love of shoes }
We all may resort to a lot of basic black shoes in our wardrobe to keep things working, but for springtime, the new wear-with-everything color is the least neutral of all. Ankle booties, platform heels, flat sandals- all are getting a big dose of crazy print from some top design houses.
A giant step beyond the polka dots and stripes we’ve seen so far, spring’s pattern shoes get really graphic. Miu Miu’s got adorable child-like prints, like flying bird silhouettes, covering silk that wraps around and around your foot. They’re so cute, you’d make them you’re new basic.
On the more bad mammajamma side of things, there’s a bold geometric look fit for an Amazon. Givenchy and Balenciaga have both won my shoe-loving heart with their stripey/angular/new tribal extravaganzas. Givenchy defines the new black as pattern by covering the body in it- head to toe, jacket to shoes. I’m in!
