In this episode of the Christmas Countdown, we bring you shoe gift ideas for the woman who spends her life in stilettos. If her motto is “the higher the better,” then we’ve got the greatest gifts for her!
Four Inches
Four inches may be a little low on the stiletto scale, but they still quality as sky-high heels (and they make your legs look fantastic!) The Rosette Accnt pump from Journee will make a great gift. Not only are they available in a fire engine red shade, but the floral detail at the ankle is nothing short of chic.
Four ½ Inches
Ivanka Trump has created some of the sexiest stilettos on the market! Check out these Bulbi peep-toe pumps. They’re available in several different colors, but my personal favorite is the fabulous purple shade. Pair it with a basic LBD and some sparkly accessories, and you’re ready to hit the town!
Five Inches +
The sky is the limit with these stunning Paisley platform pumps from Mossimo. The electric blue shade is sure to delight the lucky lady on your gift list and the sky-high stiletto will give her a boost as well!

Snake prints are everywhere this season, and as we see it, it’s the duty of the myShoes team to give you the inside scoop on all things exotic. So we’ve gathered up the best looks that the animal kingdom has to offer. It’s time to grab your snake-bite kit and be prepared to step out in the most sssstunning shoes on the market:
Flat Out Fabulous
The most comfortable way to rock the snake-skin look is in a pair of comfy flats, and the Vibrant style from TopShop is a great place to start. Not only are they sophisticated and a little bit dangerous, but the bow detail gives them a feminine edge. And for only $36 you’ve got no reason not to buy them.
But seeing as how woman can not live on ballet flats alone, there’s also the Nariko loafer/mocccasin style from Dolce Vita. The leather shoe features an embossed snake-skin print and offers an overall simple, subtle look.
High and Mighty
But if you consider “flat” to be a four-letter word, then perhaps you’d be more comfortable rocking the snake-skin trend in a pump/platform look. The Destiny style from Carlos by Carlos Santana is 4.5 inches of stiletto heaven. But the platform sole will keep your feet comfortable while looking fabulous.
And if you like a little color with your snake-like look, then check out the Sultry shoe from Topshop. The electric blue leather pump offers a sky-high 5-inch heel that will definitely get you noticed.
Boot Up
Chic boot styles are our last stop on the snake-skin train. If money is no object, then I offer you the Paige style from Alice + Olivia. It has a heel height of about 5 inches, a shocking red hue, and will look positively outstanding with a short LBD.
And for all of my budget fashionistas, there’s the Just Fun peep-toe bootie from Luichiny. They’re a steal at only $89.99 and feature just a hint of snake-skin detail at the top, on the heel and around the ankle. Sexy, chic, and fabulous.

Let’s face it. No matter what a retailer or a starlette or anybody else says, there really is no such thing as a comfortable stiletto shoe. (If they truly did exist, women would wear them when they exercise.) There are, however, a few ways that you can increase the likelihood that you’ll be able to wear your sky-high heels all evening long.
Wear ‘Em
You’ve got to break your heels in before you show them off on the big night. In the days leading up the event simply wear your new shoes around the house for about 15-20 minutes at a time. This will give you a chance to discover any “sore spots” (places where the straps or the upper rubs against your toes or your heels) and you’ll have plenty of time to purchase any necessary accessories like foot pedals or insoles.
Stretch ‘Em
If your new heels are just too tight to bear, you can have them stretched professionally or purchase a shoe stretcher that will literally give you a bit more wiggle room. Your toes will thank you in the end!

It’s the weekend! Time for you to forget about work and concentrate on what you want to do! But what’s the perfect weekend without the perfect shoes? We’ve broken down your weekend day by day and shoe by shoe to show you how to get the most from your precious days off.
Friday Night: Whether you’re meeting the girls for a drink after work or meeting up with your man for a late-night dinner, both occasions require fabulous shoes. Check out the Saxony boots from Chinese Laundry. With a 4 ½-inch heel and a slick black upper, you’ll be ready to make a grand entrance.
Saturday Afternoon: Saturday afternoon is most likely errands day. It’s the day for grocery shopping, dropping off your dry cleaning, getting the car washed, and picking up a few odds and ends at Target. All of that moving around means that comfort is a key factor. That’s why the Kindgom ballet flats from Steve Madden perfectly fit the bill. The neutral black color will work with just about anything you throw on that day, and the rounded toe will keep your toes cozy and comfortable all day long.
Saturday Night: It’s party time, and the occasion calls for nothing less than sky-high heels that will get you noticed. Glide into the party with the glittering gold 5-inch Taboo platforms from Promise. Or if you’re looking for a little less sparkle, but just as much of a wow factor, go for the sleek, sophisticated Callie pumps from Salvatore Ferragamo.
Sunday Afternoon: “Lounge” is most likely the word of the day on a Sunday afternoon. If you do decide to put shoes on at all on Sunday you need to be thinking about comfort as well as style. If you live in a warmer climate try the Cadence flat from Diane von Furstenberg, but if the autumn chill has already grabbed hold of your home town you’ll definitely want to go for the cozy, comfortable Bettey from UGG Australia. The tan suede shoe features a fleece/fur lining that will keep your feet warm and help you settle in for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

When selecting a new pair of shoes for the fall, resist the temptation of the bland, boring black pump. Try something different by elevating your style with fabulous details on the back of the heel. Whether you need the shoes for an elegant wedding, an exclusive party, or a first date, you should look glitzy and glam from the front to the back. The latest trend of decorated heels will keep you looking sleek, sexy, and ready for any occasion.
Flirtatious Ruffles
You might be hesitant at first when it comes to ruffles in your wardrobe, but ruffles around your toes are the perfect way to make any outfit a bit more fun, flirty, and chic. Charmone’s Cinnamon pumps in black blend the right amount of classic elegance with a flirty open toe. The ruffles on this shoe make it a unique addition to any basic, fancy, and classy evening outfit. The simple black pump with the ruffles peeping out from the back heel gives it a hint of coquettish subtlety.
Back-Bows
The Cristella shoe by La Soir is a delicious pump in a vivacious sultry shade of red! Made from satin with rhinestone detail, this shoe will make you look sophisticated, graceful, and totally daring. The bow on the back heel heightens your style, and the bright tone on this pump gives any outfit you wear it with a splash of color.
Studded Diva
Sam Edelman is known for making some outrageous shoes, and the Roza pumps in black stay true to his bold style. With a whopping 4 1/2-inch heel and the studded gold detail on the back of the heel, these pumps will surely be a show stopper. Dare to rock the studs on these divalicious pumps on your next night out!

You might want them for their nostalgic 70s feel, the added length they give to your legs, or their unbeatable comfortable fit. Whatever the reason, platforms offer us thick and sturdy soles, wearable height, and dance-till-you-drop appeal day after day and night after night. From studded numbers to popping colors, basic leather adaptations, and textured suede editions, there is a platform out there to suit your personal taste.
Full-Length Platforms
Instead of hobbling and wobbling around like the women wearing stilettos and ankle breakers, platforms keep you balanced and fashionable. Try the stylish Fairfax shoe by Pour La Victoire in black or brown suede. This 4 1/2- inch wedge heel boasts a supportive ankle strap and arch-friendly design. To up the ante, make a statement in the pony-hair leopard print adaptation of this platform that’s sure to turn heads.
Thick-Heeled
Slipping into the Norwood by L.A.M.B. is like giving your feet an early birthday present. In color blocking shades of gray and black, this stretchy suede pair offers you a thick, 5-inch heel with all of the comfort of a wedge. To achieve a more classic look, try the Lights Out pumps by Luichiny in black or nude suede.
Skinny Heeled and Spicy
If your wild side begs for something edgy, the Beckery in black by Jessica Simpson balances just the right amount of height—a staggering 5 inch heel—and creative cut-out details to make you an eye-catching number each and every time!
