Fergie-licious: The Best of SuperBowl Hottie Fergie’s Foot Fashions

February 22, 2011 Comments (0)

In honor of Fergie’s SuperBowl appearance (love it or hate it!), we figured it would be prudent to showcase some of the songstresses best shoe designs for the winter and spring season.

Best Tall Boot:
If you’re in search of the perfect boot to pair with your skinny jeans, then consider the search over! The gorgeous Cashia boasts a soft suede upper with just the right amount of slouch to keep things looking casual, but also features a bold buckle at the ankle and a slender strap and buckle detailing at the nearly knee-height collar. This boot is finished with a so manageable 3 inch cone heel which is perfect for a long day strolling the mall!

Best Bootie:
Fergie dubbed these so-cute booties the Bravo, and quite frankly we couldn’t agree more! This boot features an on-trend soft grey (or black!) suede upper, a flirty peep toe and an on-trend rear exposed zipper and a tapered 4 inch stacked heel. The beauty, however, is in the details. In this case, it comes in the form of two slender brown straps that criss cross at the instep and are secured by dainty buckles at the ankle.

Shoe News: Dior Makes Vegan Shoes for Natalie Portman

December 21, 2010 Comments (0)

Turns out, when you’re a celebrity – and more specifically, a celebrity spokesperson – you’ve got more clout than you know with fashion designers!

Indeed, Dior, which hired Natalie Portman to be its new face of the Miss Dior Cherie campaign, created versions of their regular shoe collection that used no leather or other animal products for the A-list vegan. Commenting on the arrangement, Miss Portman noted: “one of the things that’s been so nice is that Dior made all of the shoes for me with no animals and no leather or anything, because I don’t wear any leather…They re-made all my shoes so I can wear Dior shoes without taking lives.”

So far, Dior has announced no plans to move forward with a consumer line of vegan-friendly shoes, but perhaps their stint with Natalie will give them a push in the animal-friendly direction!

November 5, 2010 Comments (0)

Kourtney and Kim Kardashian are now in the Big Apple, filming their latest reality television show. No matter how you feel about the Kardashians and their ruthless practice of monetizing on anything and everything, there’s no denying that the gals pay attention to what they wear and how they wear it. In New York, Kourtney and Kim have decided a more grown-up approach to their ensembles, swapping the cutesy LA garb for sophisticated outfits that mix with the vibe of the city. Here’s a rundown of the shoes they’re wearing and versions you can buy to get a similar look.

Shoe Queens We Love

August 6, 2010 Comments (0)

What’s a shoe queen in the eyes of MyShoes.com? It’s a woman who loves shoes and knows how to wear them. This means the woman wears the shoes, not the other way around. Of course, we want folks to ogle our shoes, but that doesn’t mean letting shoes outdo your personality. Here’s a look at our favorite shoe queens who always manage to wear fabulous shoes, but still be the center of attention.

Sarah Jessica Parker – An obvious choice, but a valid one. SJP pretty much put shoe loving on the map for mainstream America. Prior to her, the average mid-Westerner had no clue who Manolo Blahnik was. While her beloved character, Carrie Bradshaw, was a total shoe nut, SJP gives Bradshaw a good run for her money. She wears staple designers like Louboutin, but also embraces newer designers like Camilla Skoovgard and Nicholas Kirkwood. Read more »

How to Wear Clogs for Fall

July 16, 2010 Comments (0)

We got a glimpse at clogs for summer, but the trend is set to take off for fall. Clogs are comfortable to wear and celebrities like Jessica Simpson wear them for casual outings when they want to feel at ease while looking put together. Here’s a rundown of how you can wear the trendiest shoes for fall.

Clogs work well for adding texture and an organic edge to your outfit. Many are made of suede, tweed or cableknit and often have a wood or faux wood platform and heel for a look that blends with your fall wardrobe. Experimenting with texture is always a great way to style yourself for fall. Pull out your staple sweaters in chunky knit, cashmere and cableknit and your skirts or pants in corduroy. Incorporating different textures in one look is ideal for fall because it gives the appearance of warm weather garb without having to layer pieces and add extra bulk to your frame.
