It’s December 1, which means that the Countdown to Christmas is on! You’ve only got 24 precious days left to shop, wrap, bake, and ship any and all presents to friends and family this year. And since you’re sure to have more than a few shoe-aholics on your list, I’ve put together part one of a 4-part list that will make gift giving a little easier this year. Today I’ve uncovered the perfect gifts for the ladies in your life who love color!
Green with Envy
We all have a friend and/or family member who loves, loves, loves anything bright, bold, and fabulous. So this year make sure she unwraps the brightest gift of them all. Just because the weather has turned gloomy doesn’t mean that you must resign yourself to wearing a parade of dull, boring brown or black shoes until the sun decides to come out sometime in May. Brighten up your look, as well as your mood with these fierce, fabulous, colorful winter boots.

We’ve talked about color blocking before, but I’d like to reiterate my love for this trend. Every girl has two sides to her, so why not put that philosophy to use for shoes? With the color blocking trend you don’t have to settle for one shoe color–you can have both! Two solid colors working together to make one fabulous shoe that looks exquisitely unique from each angle, how bad could that be? Here are some of my eye-catching favorites.
Bright, Bold, and Beautiful
Keeping it bright and funky, the Ceci shoe by mymu gives you a 4-inch wedge heel with two outrageous colors–rusty red and a spunky purple! I would have never guessed that these two colors could work so well together. It might be the start of a beautiful friendship.
If you want to try this two-toned look, but don’t want the added height, look no further then the Tipsy shoe by Kate Spade. This flat look-a-like is tan with a blocked pink toe, giving you the color-block style while keeping you comfortably on the ground.
Playing Patch U

Tis the season. Apparently, to be jolly, to give, to love, to share and… to wear black. You see, when your plate is full – either with things to do or with food! – it just seems easier and slimming to throw on a little black dress or tailored pants and a black sweater and head out to the holiday party scene!
