{ a blog all about the love of shoes }
If you’ve always felt as though your own two feet simply can’t get you where you want to go fast enough, your time has finally come.
It turns out that after years of good old-fashioned R&D, the motorized shoes known as spnKiX will hit stores in March. The battery-powered skates strap onto your shoes and can power you around town at up to 10 mph.
Thankfully, the shoes do not come with a mind of their own, so there’s no need to think that you’ll be zooming around town uncontrollably. You can actually control the speed of the spnKiX with a handheld remote.
But of course, advanced technology doesn’t come cheap. They’re expected to retail for $649 a pair (more than a pair of flip-flops, but considerably less than a pair of Louboutains!)

Your New Year’s resolution probably involved some type of pledge to get in shape and get healthy. And you’ll be a lot more apt to stick to your healthy exercise habits if your feet aren’t killing you at the end of each and every workout.
Running Away
If you’re into running I highly recommend the Merrell Pace Glove. It’s lightweight, features a mesh upper and above all…it looks cool! Another great option is the New Balance 840. The cushioned midsole will keep your feet nice and comfortable while you endure mile after mile of laps around the track.
Hike Up
Perhaps you’ve decided to mix your appreciation for Mother Nature in with your desire to get a good workout. If that’s the case, then hiking is definitely the way to go! A good option to try is the New Balance 956 or the Keen Alamosa. Both options not only look chic, but they’ll keep you steady and stable while you’re crossing all of those beautiful rivers and trails.

This spring there are plenty of fashion-forward trends lurking on the horizon, and we’re here to share the top three!
Wedge Works
We thought we’d seen the last of wedges last season, but it turns out that we were sorely mistaken. Brands like Prada and Valentino are continuing with the wedge trend and offering some fabulous footwear in the process. (We are specifically loving these Stud Bow Wedge from Valentino.)
High and Mighty
Unfortunately, your ankles will not be getting a break from sky-high heels this spring. Expect to see stilettos, which never seem to go out of style, everywhere you look in the upcoming months. Some of the most fashionable ways to increase your height include the Laverne from Michael Antonio and the Tribute from YSL.
Rainbow Bright
Make sure that your shoes of choice make a big, colorful impact this season. Red hot red will be a smash spring color, as well as brilliant cobalt blue, lemony yellow, and green. Styles like the Zippy from Madeline, the Kaula from Michael Antonio, and the Petra from Jessica Simpson are right in-step with the season’s hottest color trends.

While the weather outside is still pretty frightful in most parts of the country, you can still keep yourself warm with thoughts of the impending warm spring weather. I know which shoes I’m dreaming about for SS12, but I want to know which pairs of chic footwear have got you counting down the days to Spring Break!
Are you flipping out over some of the season’s latest flip-flops? Are visions of peep-toe platforms dancing in your head? Do tell!

Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to start thinking about all things spring: short shorts, tank tops, Spring Break, and most importantly…cute spring shoes!
I’ve put together a list of some of the most compelling spring/summer sandals that are definitely on my must-have list!
Flat Out Fabulous
The Bethanyy shoe in teal from Steve Madden is a clear winner for the season. It’s colorful, practical and will look fantastic with anything from short shorts to a flowing sun dress.
The Twist from Carlos by Carlos Santana is minimalism at its best. Not only are these sandals perfect for showing off a summer pedicure, but the ankle strap will keep your foot securely in place (which prevents that annoying flap, flap, flap sound.)
The Bow Front Lace Print Jelly Sandal from GoJane is the ultimate easy, breezy beach bum shoe. It features a girly bow at the toe and will see you through from a morning walk on the beach to an evening bonfire with the girls.
