Happy New Year! Hopefully you received everything on your holiday wish list this year, and now it’s time to move on to the biggest blast of the year: New Year’s Eve!
I’ll be attending a fete at one of my favorite lounges in downtown Los Angeles, but I’m having a little trouble figuring out which shoes to wear. I’ll be wearing your basic LBD, and I need a pair of shoes that will really make the outfit pop! So here are my shoe nominees:

While some people think that they look sloppy, or like house shoes gone wild, I for one always have and always will love Ugg boots. They’re comfy, cozy, and they’re the epitome of affordable luxury. My personal favorites are the Maylin boot, which is made of sheepskin and features fleece/fur lining, and the Lattice Cardy flat boot.

I admit it. I have a dream pair of shoes. It’s a pair that’s so fierce, so fantastic, so expensive that my friends will have to take up a collection in order to buy them for me for Christmas. They are the Barletta knee-high boots from Elie Tahari, and for the low, low price of abour $600 they can be mine.
But since I’m a realist I have a funny feeling that I will not be rockin’ these boots to a New Year’s Eve party any time soon. But this got me thinking about dream shoes in general. I know my own style, but I also wanted to know which fabulous pair of shoes you’re hoping to find underneath the tree this year? What’s your pair of dream shoes?

You’ve no doubt been wearing sneakers quite a bit this holiday season as you dash from the mall to the kid’s holiday recital to the UPS store. And if your athletic shoe of choice is the Reebok EasyTone sneaker, you’ll be happy to know that the line is being re-launched despite charges brought on by the Federal Trade Commission.
The FTC found fault with the fact that EasyTone advertisements claimed that walking in the shoes strengthened and toned muscles better than regular athletic shoes.
Reebok settled up with the FTC for the tidy sum of $25 million, but thanks to lots of positive feedback from women who wear the EasyTone shoes, the company has decided to move forward with developing the EasyTone line.

Well ladies. We’ve come to the end. We are all about to embark on the last shopping weekend before Christmas.
I know where I’ll be getting my shoe shop on over the next few days. But I want to know what local shops and shoe boutiques you’ll be hitting this weekend. Where do you go for the hottest styles, the best prices, and the highest stilettos that the law allows? Inquiring minds want to know!
