Who wears short short? Well, this summer, apparently you do! And, if you’re a devotee to style, you’ll probably also be rocking boyfriend jeans, jumpsuits an all sorts of patterns and prints among other styles.
The even bigger question (besides, of course, how do you tackle the bathroom issue in a jumpsuit?) is what shoes should you be wearing wtih all these fun and fabulous trends?
Jumpsuits:
Ok, ok. Perhaps we haven’t figured out to make a trip tot he restroom easier, but we can tell you what to pair this white-hot trend@ Essentially, you want to treat jumpsuit as if it were a summer dress. If it’s a cool and casual cotton, consider pairing them with a pair of earth-tone gladiator sandals, such as the Maven by Vince Camuto. The sexy shoe parade has begun! Are you going to rock the prettiest and the best this summer, or are you going to go for something more casual? Here are some options to get you thinking.
Sexy Shoe 1: Almond-toe sandals of summer.
Almond-toed shoes look fantastic all winter long, but you can’t forget that they look sexy in the summer, too. They are slimming, attractive, and sparing, and they make you look great, too. With a fresh pedicure, nothing is better than almond-toe shoes. Be sure to wear a pair that still fits your feet, though! Sometimes almond-toe shoes can be too narrow.
Sexy Shoe 2: Woven, substantial sandals with a sweet silhouette.
If you need a pair of sandals that really make your feet look great, hunt down woven sandals in a streamlined shape with a hidden wedge heel. Ah, the color pink. Most women either love or hate this hue. Girlie girls embrace it to no end and the other half claims it’s never sophisticated enough to make the cut in their wardrobes. Pink can border obnoxious if you don’t know how to wear it, but pink shoes are far easier to implement with style. Pink ranges from light shades with nude undertones to intense versions that look rich with black.
Neon colors are back for summer 2010, so why not ditch your basic sandals for a pair in neon pink? The Ontario sandals from Dolce Vita are a great go-to pair for those who want flat sandals that are easy to wear without looking as dowdy as flip-flops. Wear them with all white or light denim for a crisp look and also incorporate the trend of neutrals like beige, champagne and gray with neon. These are smart sandals for those who wear easy pieces like T-shirt dresses and tank tops and jeans often because they add a trendy spin with minimal effort.
For trendy pumps in pink, look to the Ultamit heels from Steve Madden. These basic pumps are a great addition to your wardrobe because they’re suede and a wearable, muted shade of magenta. This adds a pop of color without making you leave your comfort zone. Wear them with any little black dress, but don’t forget they work with a print top and trouser pants. When wearing pink shoes, you want to either highlight the fact that you’re going girlie or completely juxtapose it with unexpected pieces like a relaxed blazer or wide leg jeans.
Cool trends for fall seem like they are so far away, but if you shop now for your shoes, you can avoid the rush on styles you really love! Here are a few suggestions for shoes that will satisfy your craving for the Fall 2010 season.
Wooden Stacked Heels: These shoes are all the rage for fall. Whether you scoop up wooden-sole platforms or boots with stacked heels, you can be confident that you are trendy for the fall. Heels. Ugh. Just the word makes your feet slightly sore. Watching old episodes of Sex & the City makes women wonder just how Carrie and company trotted around the city all day in 4 inch high stilettos. While filming Gossip Girl, stars Leighton Meester and Blake Lively are always swapping out their fancy designer heels for Uggs or flip-floops when their feet aren’t in the shot. This is proof that no matter how high end, most heels are still uncomfortable, even when worn for only a few hours. Here are a few failsafe ways to make your heels comfortable, so you can walk tall instead of weeping.
Choose the Right Size
If ordering online, consider ordering multiple pairs in your true size and a ½ size up in the heels. This gives you room for feet to swell, which is highly likely for shoes with a 3 inch heel or higher. If you see a shoe that fits well when you are out shopping, head home to look for it online since online stores and boutiques are usually cheaper and often offer coupon codes and free shipping. Wearing the right size in heels is crucial and should be your number one priority when shopping for heels. If they don’t fit well, do not hesitate to return them since the pain you’ll endure will not be worth it.
