At the recent Golden Globes, just about every celeb was rocking a dress with ruffles! While you might not find much use for a ruffled gown in your everyday life, you can certainly rock a pair of shoes with ruffles – no red carpet required!
The most logical place to wear a ruffle is for a night on the town. At the moment, we’re head-over-heels in love with the Cailynn by Baby Phat. In addition to tiers of ruffles at the forefoot, this shoe also features on-trend flirty cutouts, oversized metallic hardware and a soaring 4 inch stiletto heel and accompanying 1 inch platform midsole that is sure to help you stand out in a crowd!
Want to dress up your weekly run to the grocery store? Than slide into the ultra-feminine Florale by Steve Madden . While we love the versatility of the nude hue, the magenta or teal hues could really add a punch to your weekend wardrobe!
For summer fun, meanwhile, we can’t wait to slip our feet into the Monroe flat sandal by Kelsi Dagger . With a mostly exposed foot, slender snakeskin straps with delicate metallic buckle detailing, and a cascade of ruffles at center, these shoes are sure to become a summertime favorite!
Think ruffles should be strictly relegated to recreation time? Than you might want to check out the Watts shoe by Report which features just a hint of a ruffle at the collar that keeps it on-trend but unwaveringly professional.

Proving that heels really don’t belong in Berlin, they were almost completely absent from Fashion Week runway shows, and their appearance in one show led to a tragic blooper.

Neon brights are just right for spring and summer. Fashion designers from New York to Milan showed acid brights in their collections. These colors may be tough to wear via a dress or pants, so what better way to incorporate the hottest trend of the season than with your shoes.
Like all trends, neon has its place. Unless you work in a creative field, it’s probably best to keep neon out of the office. Outside of that, have fun with the ultra vibrant hues that have found their place on the fashion map once again.

If you’re feet need a party, throw it with mega paillettes this spring. This super celebration look is getting the mega embrace from high end designers and street fashion trendsetters.
Mega pailettes are sequins oversized cousins- giant disks at least as big as coins that come in all kinds of translucent and shimmery shades. These party favors are emerging as a favorite embellishment for spring shoes. Read more »
A recent survey of our friends on the other side of the pond found that one in 10 female drivers reported being in an accident or narrowly avoiding one because of their footwear choice. Moreover, four out of five reported that they frequently wore “inappropriate shoes” while driving.
The biggest culprits were stilettos, with slingbacks called out for being particularly unstable behind the wheel, but we were shocked to also hear that the good ol’ summer staple, flip flops, got a mention! Read more »
Sure, Berlin is known as the coolest city in the world right now, but when it comes to fashion, the looks have been taking a while to catch up to level of the art and music being created in this town. Fashion Week showed that these crazy kids are starting to get a bit more sophisticated about the unique happening that is currently Berlin.
On and off the runway, Berliners (and their many transplants) ditched the usual sneakers for sleeker choices. The clothes, with lots of capes and giant, architectural, draping pieces that cover most of the body, require something with more polish than a rubber-soled lace-up, but this is not a stiletto kind of town.
So what to do? The most common choice was a smooth and, fitting for Berlin, unisex dance shoe of the jazz practice variety- small block heel, delicate lace-up, and soft leather upper. This is, you could say, the dressed up sneaker of Berlin. Read more »
