If you’ve ever struggled with an uncooperative buckle on a pair of shoes, than you’ll no doubt welcome the current trend of trading in buckles, straps and other functional closures for no-muss, no-fuss zippers.
It started first with clothes, with exposed zippers cropping up on skirts, dresses, and even tank tops! Eventually, the trend moved south, with this spring and summer’s crop of sandals sporting zippers down the center of the shoe or even along the heel.
